Frederick University operates in the Republic of Cyprus since September 2007. Although the establishment of the University is relatively recent, the organisation has a long history of nearly 60 years in higher education. Its mission is to serve the society through education, research, and social contribution to the broader community. The University offers a broad range of academic programs of study in the areas of Engineering, Technology, Business, Arts, Architecture, Media, Humanities, Health Sciences, and Education, and operates from two campuses, in Nicosia and in Limassol.
With its dedication to academic excellence, provision of high-quality programs of study and active research, the University enjoys respect and recognition both nationally and internationally. In the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2024, it ranked among the top 201-300 universities in the world, for the second consecutive year, the only university in Cyprus to ever achieve this. It also ranked among the top 101-200 universities in the world, for “Quality Education”, “Affordable and Clean Energy”, “Reducing Inequalities”, “Partnership for the goals”.
Frederick University is a member of the EU-CONEXUS European Universities Alliance, focusing on Smart Urban Coastal Sustainability. The European Union considers these Alliances as the “Universities of the Future”.
