By offering vocational training in fields such as tourism, soft skills, and digital skills, along with consulting services and state-recognized post-secondary specialization programs, TIHC addresses the diverse needs of adults seeking to enhance their skills and advance their careers. Collaborations with entities like the Labor Ministry and educational institutions, alongside participation in European networks, enable TIHC to secure funding and maintain high standards. Serving a wide range of learners, including entrepreneurs, professionals, and career changers, TIHC’s mission is to foster economic development and meet workforce demands through quality education and training.

Michael Katharakis

  • Degree in Physics with a specialization in Atomic and Molecular Physics from the University of Crete.

  • PhD in Quantum Electrodynamics from the National Technical University of Athens.

  • Second PhD in Technology Management and Integration of Innovation from the Technical University of Crete.

  • Over 15 years managing funded European scientific and development programs.

  • Organized three international conferences, numerous workshops, conferences, and seminars.

  • Extensive expertise in intellectual property development and safeguarding.

  • Over 20 years of experience in applied and basic research scientific projects.

  • Vice-chairman of the Regional Research and Innovation Council of Crete.

  • Director of the Technical Institute of Heraklion Chamber.

  • Teaches in the MBA program of the Hellenic Mediterranean University.
